Hi - Here's a free version - works just like "the Real thing" here's a post I did that has it in it.

    Read this post first though:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...you-leave.html

It talks about how you're best not to use it though.

    Cheers,

    Newbim.

Mine is Exit Rescue... it's free and works as a wordpress plugin or on a standalone site.

Thanks for the plugin Robert. I caught the mass uploader. I am interested in this plugin you have for wordpress about the exit rescue.

    How can we find it?

    Thanks again!

Exit pop-ups are super annoying. Why do you want one?

well, got a product coming out soon and simply put, if they are not intrigued by the offer and want to leave, I would like to offer them the product for FREE, rather then exit harassment. It would have limited functionality, but could always be upgraded later.

Am I correct that you have a product coming up for release soon as well?

Do you not see the benefit to these scripts?

Right, this illustrates the problem with the "Oh your leaving" pop-up.

If the item was FREE all along, why not offer it for free at the start?

Customers do not like prices to be changing all the time. Double Glazing salesmen do that and it is ridiculous. They start at £3000 for a gutter and if you keep umming and arring they end with a call to 'the boss' (ahem) and a price of £300 all in.

£300 was the actual price all along. Only a mug pays £3000.

Just be straight. This is the product, this is the price. If they opt to leave, let them.

I understand the concept of the 'scam' or bait and switch tactic.

Like I said, it WASN'T free all along. I would offer the free version (with limited functionality) if they do not want to purchase the fully functioning one right from the start.

Then I would hope that if they like the functions and want MORE then they upgrade later. Similar model to just about any software company.

Only difference is attempting to capture them on the exit rather than lose them altogether.

Like I also mentioned, I am just considering this as an option. I may not do it.

    I appreciate the comments IndigoJack.

I came here to see what people would think and what the general consensus is of most people.

    thanks.

I believe your right Greg, It doesn't matter if someone is annoyed at your exit popup because as we all know, once they leave they wont be back anyway.

I found your post here because I'm looking for a good script too. My landing page has a free offer but the statistics show that the majority of visitors stay less than 10 seconds and that isn't enough time to even learn about my offer.

Greg, I agree with you. when I first started out I tried to do all the proper things be a good girl and not use pop ups because they annoy people, just let them go and look for another lead....Well that about let me starve to death..I try to stop them anyway I can and guess what right or wrong...it makes money and gets more sign ups on your list...It gets the job done and I have never got any hate mail or threats over it yet..

I am no longer embarrassed to say I am in this for the MONEY. Why would I be doing it if I wasn't .I help people a lot for free but I am a marketer
