I have a website that has no content at this time. The site has Wordpress Thesis Theme already installed and several plugins that I wish to use, however some of the plugins such as Headspace2 have not yet been configured. It is a must that you have extensive knowledge of Thesis and Openhook. As well as some knowledge of Headspace2. It is my hope to not only brand my site but to sell a variety of dog products particularly for small dogs. I have no inventory so all products are affiliated products I wish to sell. I am wondering how can I set up an e-store without inventory because my products are through affiliates. I am in need of webdesign with both static and dynamic pages, videos, and an abundant amount of information to attract customers. Im not exactly sure about how many pages I will need but at this point I have about 40 products or so. I am also interested in a flash header or logo to capture interest right off the bat . I need someone who has extensive knowledge on how to set up my website and give me solid advise on how to pick the categories and subcategories as well as SEO.       Flash e-commerce templates - Full Online shops

      It are complete online shops where you can list your products, some of the design are for pet websites

      how does this sound to you?


      To create a nice looking banner you may consider to use a flash banner builder

        I thought about this but am wondering can these templates be incorporated into the Thesis theme? I am also wondering how is SEO on these pre-made templates? Additionally, are these themes user friendly for newbies and can I easily add content and products to these without screwing things up?

      Hi,

      Two of you wanted more information but I am unsure exactly what information you requesting. This is probably due to my inexperience so bear with me. I purchased the Thesis theme for wordpress so I wanted to use it. From my understanding wordpress blogs are SEO friendly and Google supposedly loves them. I actually love the theme and it is very user friendly. Why I am not designing it myself is because I spent 6 days designing it with much success (being a newbie all) I actually had 2 pages completed when I did something trying to edit one of the custom_header.php file (I think thats what it was) and my site disappeared. I tried everything and had to start all over again with a fresh reinstall. This is why I am searching for someone who knows what they are doing. Being a newbie I dont exactly know what is best. Please share your thoughts and maybe I can get some kind of inclination of what I should do. I'm sorry if I am not providing the right kind of information so you can assist me. Please let me know what kind of information you need. Thanks

    Hi. I am thinking that with an e-commerce site you may end up getting a pre-made template. You can also find some free ones on sites like xt-commerce and comersus. Just google the terms Open Source Ecommerce software and then read some reviews.

    To put them on your own website (recommended) there is a learning curve for sure. Just go slowly and follow the directions. If it is too hard to do, you can hire somebody to help you at a site like guru.com or elance. This kind of site where you advertise what you want somebody to do for you (like make a logo, theme, or flash intro page) will help you and not cost a lot. They can also post your site for you on to your web server or to your WordPress blog page.

    I heard that you can use WordPress for e-commerce too. I have not used WordPress a lot, so I had to look this one up. Seems that there is a plug-in called WP e-Commerce that goes with WordPress. It is made for it. It seems to be rated 3 stars out of 5 at the site. You also may want a commercially made template.

      Thanks for the advise. I guess one of the problems I have as a newbie is thinking this can all be done overnight, when the truth is as Cliffy stated under your post, I need to do some research. I do however appreciate everyone help in getting me on the right track. Im going to be looking into those templates and also the WP ecommerce plugin. I didn't even know they had one. Thanks again
