My First Ever Affiliate Site: Please Review! :)

Hi everyone!

I just finished my first affiliate site: www.everythingfreelance.com.

It has been up since November 4, 2008. I was so happy to see that I was on the third page of Yahoo! results for the keyword "freelance website review," which is one I was targeting. I'm not indexed on Google yet though.

I'm really hoping to get comments from you guys on how I can improve it in terms of layout, content, etc.

I'd also appreciate any ideas on how I should be promoting my site. Do you suggest I pay for directory submissions? I saw an offer for $38.99 for 550 directories. I've never done this before, so any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Is this really worth it? I'm trying to keep my overhead costs to a minimum (I built the site myself and created all the content).

Also, can someone tell me if using the GetAFreelancer scripts (to display latest projects from their site) is hurting my SEO?

Thank you in advance!

- Melissa

Looks like it is made from a template, nothing wrong with that but the basic layout is very good but content further down is not quite from the same world. All in all pretty good job.

    Hmm - what gimmick said.

Maybe add some sort of divider and something like "for some extra money"? (Ask the copywriter gang on this one, I'm not a copywriter.)

But do try some break between the actual freelance stuff and the "MMO" stuff? It's kind of confusing considering your domain implies freelance, not just "MMO". Nice design, though - nothing to complain of there.
