Developer are asking too much money for me to afford.
Is there any easy or short way to clone a site.

In short, there is no easy way. But you can copy and paste css and html from the website you want to clone to get a framework, but then you have to figure out how the designer/coder did the original.

IMHO, it would be easier to design and create a new site based on the one you want to clone.

SoftByte Labs shareware for Microsoft Windows - Blackwidow scanning / download software. I used it when I first started to get a basic layout on sites I liked and then change the CSS, images and colors to match what I was doing.

I use it now every now and then on my own sites to search for bad outgoing links and other errors.

Do you have an ftp or web editor?

Copy the original web to a local location. If all the urls within the site are relative, without explicit path in urls, you should be able to plop the files in any other directory or web server, and it should work fine.

If I have 1 site on my disk in dir1, I can publish that to 100 other webservers, since all files are relative to the root, in most cases, that's pretty straight forward.

How large is the site? You may try another developer, because literally, that should be an hour or two operation, half that just testing and looking around. Even if there were absolute refs all over the site, those could be replaced pretty quickly.

Just make sure to copy the whole site, including directory structure, I'm sure there are also website cloners as freeware on tucows or something.
