I have the following error message. Hostgator won't cover WP probs and the WP forum is useless and I don't know what to do! Can someone please fix it for me? I have at least 6 sites on WP and am terrified of mucking them up.

I am not technical at all. If someone could go in and fix it for me I could write some PLR for you or something!

- You chose to install in the main directory of the domain christmastoys4.us, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain christmastoys4.us (path=”/home/karen/public_html/”).You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation:

wp-content
wp-includes

index.php
license.txt
readme.html
wp-activate.php
wp-app.php
wp-atom.php

wp-config-sample.php

Judging by the error message, it looks as though you've got WordPress installed already.

Going to your URL takes me to a wordpress blog called KeyPLR - which I assume is your PLR Marketing site. I also assume that it has nothing to do with christmastoys4.us - which leads me to believe that you are trying to set up a new wordpress installation for a second domain name that you own. Yes?

If so, you need to create a sub-folder in the /home/karen/public_html/ directory (/home/karen/public_html/christmastoys4.us/ perhaps?), and install wordpress in that directory. Then you need to aim your new domain name at the contents of THAT directory.

EDIT: AAAAND it looks like I'm too late. Judging by your edit message, it looks like this has been solved. Anyhow, good luck!

i think you are right.. you can hit the backbutton and the error will fix. on the fantastico, you can fill the directory you wanted to install the new wordpress. or you can remove the old installation first and re install the wordpress..
