why can't i change the wordpress image size?

Hi guys,

No matter what size i set for the images in my post under "acvanced setting" , after updated it, the the image size it just the same. Very strange, looks like a bug. Any solutions? Shall i use photoshop to resize very image before i upload it to my blog? Thanks

      When this happened to me, I took the image, resized it as you suggest, renamed it the same as the original and put it in the Wordpress theme in place of the original.

      If you don't do all of these things, it will keep bringing up the original image.

      You might need to change the image size in the WP Theme editor too, which MagicAce might be able to help you with.

      In the meantime, you can look through the main theme pages in the editor - page template, header template, etc. The image usually shows up on one of those main templates. All you have to do is change the image size that you see to what you want.

      Before touching the page, however, you might want to copy it into Notepad just in case. Then you can put it back if it's wrong.

    Are you setting this imagse as featured? If so, I think it wont help just if you resize the image in photoshop, cause in theme could be defined some value, and it will always show that size. Check out functions.php and index.php for the image size's.
