Hello Everyone,

I uploaded my theme to wordpress & now my website is "live" on my host but it has no content. I would like to know how to "hide" my wordpress website while working on it (adding content, widgets, etc.). I read somewhere that you have to add or delete code somewhere and I am a newbie to WordPress and do not know any code yet. Is there a easy and quick way to do this and make it viewable again after I have completed setting it up? Thanks!

Search for "maintenance" in the plugin directory, and you will find a lot of plugins that can make sure noone can see your site, but you can see it yourself while beeing logged in.
That way you can work on it without any problems.

      Hi Cre8ive,

Where is the plugin directory located? Is it within the cpanel of my host or somewhere in Wordpress? I'm a newbie and just learning this stuff, but I love it! Thanks so much for your reply!

You can access it via your admin panel and go to the function "plugins"
        Search for Maintenance there.

If you know FTP ( as i prefer) go to the wordpress.org site and search for it in plugins and upload in ftp.

You can download the plugin from here --> http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugi...e-mode.5.4.zip

          Installation in 2 easy steps:
          1. upload the zip folder into your plugins folder (located at /wp-content/plugins/) using your cpanel and extract it.
          2. Activate the plugin from your WordPress admin panel.
