Default paypal and ebook question

Ok, so I've been trying for hours now to figure out how to make my ebook accessible to buyers right after they purchase it.

What do I do?

Do I just have paypal send them to the download page on my site? This does not seem very secure so I'm a little hesitant about this.

I don't know php or anything so thats probably why I'm completely lost.

Thanks a lot for the help.

The limitation of sending people to the download page (as you're aware) is that anyone can find the location of your ebook by looking at the page source.

The best way to do this is using the Paypal IPN (immediate payment notification) but this solution is likely to involve the likes of PHP and MySQL integration. With this arrangement which I use, Paypal advises whether the transaction was completed or not.

You could use an online service such as EJunkie or Payloadz or purchase a download manager.

Hope this helps,

Jonathan

drive by download theft is getting out of hand a quick Google search provides them with all they need.

But you can fight back i use a download manger which protects the actual download file, not the download page. When they click to download they have to fill out a membership form to access the download area. In this area they can only gt the item they paid for.

Any one trying to steal the download will be deterred from entering any info, especially since it captures their ip address so i know if they are passing out their log in details. Plus i can limit the amount of downloads of a specific download. Once you have used up your limit that's it no more unless they pay me to up their download limit. Hee Hee

The easiest way is by using third party service like e-junkie or payloadz

Hi Guys

I have an ebook thats converted to pdf , and I have organised covers etc.

I am also 75% nearing completion of my website which I've built through using Thirdsphere.

Although they are a little expensive on the hosting side their bleepsoft web building
software has been excellent and very easy to follow.

I have completed the main page of the site, plus the order page, and the download page.
Where I am having trouble is :-

1) How do I make my book available as a download ? ( because currently it's just sitting on my hard drive ?

2) Is there a way I can make the ebook cover the actual link to the download.i.e by clicking on the cover they get to the download page.

Many thanks for your help.

John
