WEB DESIGN

I screwed up. I bought a template package and thought it was wordpress. Come to find out its html and don't know a thing about it. I don't know much about wordpress either but it seems pretty simple to figure out.

I was able to make text edits and a few basic other edits, but my pics are not showing up live. They show up when I open the page in openoffice writer but then when I save and upload to my host all I see is the image outline/box, the alt text and a red x.

Any insight is appreciated.

A) Check if the image is uploaded properly
B) Check if the <img src=""> address points to the directory where the image is sitting

  well..um..I..uh What?
  
  Some of the images are pointing to the right directory and some aren't. But none of them are showing up :confused:
  
  So I assume the images that are pointed correctly must not be uploading correctly. I tried uploading again but no avail.
  
  And I'm trying to figure out how to edit the code as the coffee cup editor I downloaded crashes every time I try to open a file. And I don't find a code viewer/editor in openoffice writer

  Now I'm really confused. I finally got coffee cup to open the file, made my image location edits, saved, uploaded and still no dice.
  
  How can you tell if the images are uploaded correctly.
