How to upload entire pre-created sites?

Hello.
Newbie here. I have two sites that I foolishly paid money for, I won't rant about that now, but it seems I should use them and at least make my money back. I have them downloaded on my PC, and I have a hosting service, but my hosting company is useless when it comes to tech support. (another thing I will not rant about here.)

When I use CPanel's File Manager, and upload them into the public_html folder, which is what I think I'm supposed to do? ...They show in my file manager but when I point my URL to the site, there are errors and the site does not show.

One of the sites is phbb, so maybe someone has some experience with this one at least?

Thanks in advance!

Does it show directory when you open your website?
If so check if the index.php file exist.

    Does it work perfectly offline?

You say one of the sites is phpbb. Do you have the database backup .sql file? I really cannot see how it would be possible to help, via this forum, without you allowing somebody FTP access to look at your scripts and HTML files.

    Not that I am volunteering.

    dexcell,
No it does not show. Yes it does have the index.php file. I'm not sure how to check if it "works" offline, another example of me being in over my head with this.

    abdulquddus,
Yes, I used FTP to upload the sites... My issue is that I don't believe I am doing it properly?
Sure, I will listen to what you have to offer, but I already know ways to make my money back, if only I could get them working.

    Bewley,
I only have a vague idea of what a database backup .sql file is, and don't know how to look for it.
I would be willing to allow someone to use my FTP, scripts, and HTML files. I haven't done anything with them anyway so I don't see how there would be anything to lose.
But, I have been ripped-off 4 times in a row now on this Internet Business adventure. Not that I'm crying about it, I know that it's a learning process and there are sharks out there. And I understand you are not volunteering, but do you know someone I could trust?

So far the only people that have helped me with any honesty are here on the Warrior Forums. I wish I found this place before I dumped so much of my money, time and effort elsewhere!

OK - It looks like you don't have enough posts to PM me. If you zip up all the files into separate folders (website per folder) and send me one compiled zip file, I will take a look and advise you what is what. I would rather not have FTP access for now.

I won't charge you (just feel the love) and I most certainly won't rip you off - besides, you could shout about it in these forums... not nice!

I will PM you my email address - the rest is up to you.

      Adrian
