CSS FLOAT - IE7, IE8 and Firefox

I have a webpage (Wordpress) that looks ok and the same in IE8 and Firefox. However, in IE7 some of the DIVS (as they show up on the screen) are out of place. It seems that it might have something to do with the FLOAT associated with some of them.

Is it just a bad thing to use FLOAT when trying to be compatible between browsers? Does everything have to be Absolute positioning?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Andyf

There are a lot of things that can cause that. Without a URL to look at, we can't help you much.
