I've read countless stories about what promotional website strategies works for some people. Sadly what works for someone else doesn't necessarily work for you and your website.

What are some guaranteed strategies of generating traffic ? What method/s would you suggest and what personal success stories have you achieved ?

    Well, it really all depends on the niche, say for example your promoting a product that would appeal to webmaster types, and wordpress users, well you can wait for them to come to you, (some call this SEO) and that is fine but I have had more success when I seek out those that may be interested in what I have to offer them, (translation, you go to where they are) So I would find a vibrant forum, makes some contributing posts, generate value, and find clients, wash rinse repeat,

    In this way you not only get new clients, but you also provide value, even if it is just in the way of making friends, it all counts, in the end, and when you add it all up, it can make the difference between success and just getting by.
