Am looking for some advice that looks to be unusual as I can't find anything like it anywhere.
I have a website Pregnancy and Childbirth that I purchased just the way you see it last winter and it has done absolutely nothing except for the blog which has over 100 comments.
How can I monetize the blog effectively and should I break it away from the website and promote it by itself?

I'm afraid I don't have any advice for you, but a suggestion: Post this in the main forum and you'll get a lot more response. This is about strategy and monetizing, not specifically web design. I think you'll do a lot better with this in the main forum. Good luck.

    Hey,
That's a common question people ask all the while. Personally, between a website and a blog I would choose to focus on a website then when it gets enough traffic I channel that traffic to my blog. However, in your case it seems like your blog is doing fare better than your website. So my suggestion would be DON'T THROW AWAY THE BLOG. Focus on the blog primarily and find ways to improve traffic to that. Develop some unique blog posts and post them frequently. Look into other techniques that can give your blog a good ranking as well and having it attract traffic.

Now after you have sufficiently attained enough traffic for the blog, you can channel the traffic to your website. Provide links, make reference and just tell people in your posts that you have a website up and running now and they should visit it. Ensure however that you have a good amount of information on your website before sending persons there.

    Hope I helped

I think that site looks like a fantastic landing page. If it's converting, don't touch it.

Use the blog to continue directing people to that site, and work on the email copy for whatever back end opportunity you are selling through the newsletter.
