Can anyone recommend any good software used to cut up images into HTML? Just getting started with UI, so please excuse the newb question.

    I am not sure I understand your question...

    Are you talking about making a HTML webpage based on a design made in an image editor... or are you talking about image maps (when the various portions of the image are clickable links)?

    I personally use Photoshop, but fireworks offers the same sort of ability..

    Just depends what your doing, hand coding to css or using the slice to html features on fireworks for example.

    There are many, many software can be used to cut and paste images to use. Adobe Photoshop attempt. The best among those I know.

    I used to use ImageReady which was great, but now I use Photoshop all the way - although - Fireworks can accomplish this as well
