can anyone explain website flipping please.

I don't know if this is the right forum for this thread, but here's some things I've learned about website flipping.

1. Website flipping is as easy as registering a domain, making a site, and/or marketing.
2. You can sell JUST a domain, an accompanying website, and/or boast it's SERPs rank.
3. A websites worth what you're able to convince the buyer it's worth. Use tracking software to show traffic and any monthly income.

If Gene (Warrior Domain Flipper) taught me anything, it's your luck is in numbers. Buy multiple different domains and try different markets. Sometimes you'll contact a hundred leads with no sale; sometimes you'll sell after ten leads - you never know!

One thing that's crucial to your success is market research. Not doing your research is a good way to crash and burn.

Also i heard that through website flipping you will make much money, i had lost so much to trying to learn and make money, so just looking for a way to fly quickly.

Website flipping can be done without any technical abilities at all. Anyone can install WordPress in two minutes through most hosting options. Add some content and a theme: boom website to be flipped.

We all know how easy WordPress is to operate!

If you are familiar with real estate investing, you know that flipping properties is the process of buying distressed properties, fixing them, and then reselling them for profit. When you flip websites, the process is exactly the same except you’re dealing with virtual real estate – websites and the domain the website is built on. A distressed property is simply a property that has the potential to be worth more by adding value to it.

In short:
Invest a little money to buy a domain and hosting.
Develop the site for a particular branch of industry for certain key words.
Then sold your site for more money.
As a development tool you use WordPress because it is the easiest and fastest way to development application.
Use premium themes as a template.
And the fastest way to reach the sales stage is to act locally (any town, city).

The Steps involved in Website Flipping:

Buying - You must find a suitable website to buy. Do not be fooled, whilst this sounds easy, it is the most important step and also the one that most people do incorrectly. For tips on finding a suitable site to buy, get in touch for some advice.
Enhancement - You must add value to the site. Generally you must make changes that increase traffic or income. Increasing either or both of these factors, significantly will almost guarantee a profit (if you paid the right price originally).
Selling - You must now sell the website. Generally it would be best to sell the site at the same place you bought it as the market value that determined the price there will be the same. So any value added to the site, in theory should create a higher market price and deliver you a profit. If you have an established website that you would like to sell, we can offer advice on how to get started finding buyers.

There are 3 different types of Website Flipping

Beginner's Flipping
Whilst not necessarily "flipping" it is still a valuable business model that should be discussed. Essentially this is to build a website from scratch, do some promoting and then sell the site once it has traffic. This method takes more time but gives greater control on choosing the direction, setup and interest area of the website.
Standard Flipping (Medium Term Investment)
This is the most common flipping business model. Essentially you buy a fixer upper website with some potential, enhance it as quick as possible and sell it at a higher price. The choice of website is the most important element here.
Long Term Investment Flipping
Many people buy a website for its proven monthly recurring income and then develop that website as a long-term investment. This type of investor will hold onto the site for years whilst profiting from its income capacity and then selling the website once the it reaches a market threshold for an increased price. This requires more money and requires plenty of patience and skill.

website flipping is a business. It's imperative you have the mindset if you want to achieve any level of success flipping websites. You know that flipping properties is the process of buying distressed properties,fixing them and then reselling them to profit. When you flip websites, the process is exactly the same except you're dealing with virtual real state websites and the domain the website is built on.

You may increase revenues by creating additional sources of revenue or improving conversions. You may add value by increasing traffic, be it paid or organic. You might build a mailing list or do a total redesign. Website flipping can also be the process of building from the scratch and increasing their value over time so that you can sell them for profit.

I agree. Thank you for this information. I had no idea you could do this. It's amazing how similar it is to what some people do though. Buy a car or a house etc. fix it up and sell it again.

  Creating and selling websites is the process known as "flipping". It's a term that is thrown around quite a bit on the Internet since virtual real estate has taken the net by storm. Many savvy Internet marketers develop websites within profitable niche markets, make them profitable then flip them for quick profits. The intention was never to keep the website long term which is how the turn "flip" comes into play. Your entire goal was to develop the site, get it to a certain level, and then flip it for a profit within a few months.

Flipping in general is the art and skill of buying low and selling high. For example, you buy a car and clean it up, do some maintenance on it and sell it.

You can flip domain names, you can flip website, you can flip any thing that allows you to sell it private label.

Adding value and increasing perceived value is key here.

Research is key. There are certain times of the year where some keywords and websites dip in value, and certain points where they sell for top dollar.
