Video preloading?

Does anyone know of a tool or script that can preload flv files? The challenge in this case is that the videos are on a different page from the landing page that launches them in a lightbox.

I've read that it's possible and found scripts for it on the web but the coding is above my head.

    Hi, there are a number of methods, but when using a light box, (separate container,) to host the video you can use a timer, or JavaScript but most of the time this is done using one of two methods, in Flash itself, or in the scripting of the video container,

    in Action script, 3 it would be as simple as a preload command, with get bytes loaded, and a few other commands, or you could use a preloader, in the flash file itself,

    I used to play around a lot with flash but it has been awhile since I did this but I think most freelancers should be able to help or if you have flash you can have a look at preloading video, in the help menu.
