I am looking at xsite pro to help us get things off the ground running.
We understand the benefits of wordpress but we want a bit more customization without going extensively into css.
So my questions are...

Is xsite pro suitable for us to get started with advertising affiliate products?

Is there a way to create custom themes within xsite?

Yes, you can use xsitepro to make templates and use them for other sites with very easy editing of content. These templates would be your "themes" as they are called in wordpress.

I personally use xsitepro for adsense and affiliate products. It works great for both and I don't use wordpress much because of the same problem of not knowing css extensively. Xsitepro makes equally as seo friendly of a website and you can rank as well if not better than a blog. It all depends on your content, how you do your seo, keywords you are targeting, etc. that you get ranked the way you do. It has nothing to do with what format you use.

      Thank you for your response.
Can you send me some site links that you are comfortable with sharing?

If you have xsite pro , you might want to consider the free version of xheader. This initially gives you 50 free headers, if you register (which is free) you then get a further 450 headers covering lots of different catagories. I was so impressed I paid $37 to get the full 5000. This has saved a lot of time for me and they are very profesionally made.
