you need to get your DNS details from your hosting provider then update the DNS Details with name cheap, there should be a cpanel with namecheap you will need the name server looks like NS1.domain.com and then the Ip address I.E 192.111.111.111

    hope that helps

I have some domains with NameCheap and use another hosting company. Here is how you do it:

Login > My Account > Manage Domains > Tick the box in front of your domain name and then click Edit Selected > Transfer DNS to Webhost

Below is what is on the the final screen. You should have received the nameservers from your host (ex: ns1.mydomain.com) - usually in a welcome email or you can find it on their site. Enter them > then finally click Save Changes

_________ Page you want at NameCheap_______________________________

Please enter Nameserver Name Only (ex: ns1.mydomain.com). Don't enter IP address. Please choose "Use Custom Nameservers" before entering Nameserver names in these text boxes. You can enter up to five nameservers.
Please note that if you are setting up DNS servers for .uk, .eu or .ca domains, use the IPAddress--dns.name format
    (ex: 12.12.32.22--ns1.domain.com)
Also, if you are modifying other tlds along with these tlds (.uk, .eu, .ca), please note that IPAddress--dns.name format doesn't work. So, please modify these domain separately from others for proper setup

    3.
    4.
    5.
    * It is advisable to enter at least two nameservers if you choose to use your own custom nameservers.
