Opt In Page on Wordpress

I am struggling to get my opt in box to appear in the centre of my homepage.

If I create a new page I can do it that way, but my home page stays and is the first page you come to when you type in the domain, So I need my opt in box on the homepage, Hope this makes sense.

    Create a new page and add the opt in form. Then go to Settings->Reading. At the top make sure "A static page" is selected and then in the "Front Page" drop down box, select the page with the opt in form and then Save Changes. Now when everyone comes to your site the first thing they see is your opt in form.
