Wordpress theme Twenty Ten 1.1 custom header upload problem

Hi Fellow Warriors,

I am wondering if any Wordpress Whizzes here, could give some ideas on why I might be having trouble uploading my custom header to the Wordpress twenty ten 1.1 theme. Twenty Ten allows you to upload your own custom header, as long as it is 940 x 198 pixels. My header is exactly 940 x 198 pixels. I have tried uploading in different image formats, to determine if that was the problem, such as jpeg, bmp, png, png transparent, and gif, but nothing works. I would greatly appreciate any ideas my fellow wordpress savvy warriors have on why my header isn't showing up.

    Code:
    http://homebizprofits.com/bizblog/wp-content/uploads/homebizprofitswsunflowers_bizblogheader31.jpg
The pic above is what it is trying to display which doesnt exist.

    You pasted a .gif version

    So somethings wrong with this.

If you make your pic a .jpg and upload to that exact path above though, it will work.

Thanks so much for answering my post. I am actually uploading from my computer not from the website address. The Twenty Ten theme has you upload from your computer. The header I uploaded to my post is from a website address.

I just noticed though that the code you posted below is adding an extra digit to the file path, hmm, what can I do about that, if it keeps adding something that isn't in the original file path. What you see below is bizblogheader31.jpg I didn't include the 1. It is adding the 1 digit.

The 1 is being added because you probably uploaded it 2 times so it will give a 1 to the duplicate so they don't have the same filename.

It is hard to tell what is going on but if you FTP or use File Manage in cPanel and upload that picture with the exact filename/filepath it is looking for that I posted, it will work.

There's most likely an easier solution, but impossible to tell without access.

Thanks so much for your help. I tried everything, made sure the file path was correct, and also started with completely fresh images, and even made sure the file size was comparable to the default Ten Twenty headers offered in the the theme. I give up. I really wanted to use my custom header.

That sounds like a great idea! How do I give you access? I probably have done this a long time ago, but can't remember how to do it! Let me know, then I can followup in a private message.

      Thanks a lot! :-)
