Help needed. Why are my image links broken?

I'd really appreciate any help with this.

All of my image links are broken.

I'm sure this is really basic stuff to many, but
I'm completely new to using an editor.

I could hire someone to fix this but it will just come up again and I want to learn how to do this myself.

I made a few changes to a PLR squeeze page using Kompozer and uploaded the page using File Zilla. The images are also uploaded in a file called images.

I set up the website files on my computer to mirror the website files on the server.

I checked the image properties and they all begin like this: "file:///"
so I'm pretty sure that means they are pointing to my computer and not my server. If that is the problem, here's what I have tried so far.

I've tried deleting all the files on the server and starting over.
I've tried to rename the files. Clueless as to what else to try.

I "Googled" for an answer to this problem. One tutorial said when using Kompozer to upload the page before you add any images and then go back and add the images, but I've already uploaded the page with images, infact it came with images.

I'd so appreciate any help with this.
Thanks, Maureen

I can help you with this, what's the url in question?

If Komposer work like Trellian, the images are in a folder. Make sure you uploaded this folder at the same location where your htm or html page resides because I would think Komposer already set in the correct links towards each image online.(on your hosting space)

Each image has an src line that should all point to the image folder and likely to start with an src="http://

I know for a fact that Trellian would never do such a thing, linking to images on your hard drive. You may need to manually fix all those src's directly in the source.

Yikes! Now I'm getting a 404 error - page not found.
Atleast earlier I had a live page - just with no header, footer, or graphics.
The url is supposed to be http://www.happydogtrainingacademy.c...give_away.html
      thanks for responding :-)

I think when you make your site then save all the files in one folder. If you changed file then your site will be show this error or image will be broken. You just save all the files in one folder.

It is a problem of relevant or relative link code. You have to check yourself your image links are relevant or relative link. If it is relevant then you have give full url address or if it is relative then you have to specify only part of address means file name only.

you don't appear to have uploaded ANY files to your site. or you have uploaded to the wrong folder. try putting them in the "publichtml" folder.
