Thesis Has Some Features which you cant get in any other theme, Which are:

    1. Header Image Uploader

    2. SEO Character Counters

    3. New Google Fonts!

    4. WordPress Nav Menu Support

    5. Category/Tag/Taxonomy Page Options

    6. Favicon Uploader

    7. Custom Loop API

Because Thesis has features that most themes do not have, example, giving option to have nofollow, noindex, and noarchive inside your dashboard for pages and posts.

These you will need if you want to link your affiliate link via post, without adding additional robots meta tag plugin or adding the code to robots.txt.

That's only one example, and much more (the nofollow links on default admin links)..

There are realistically two reasons Thesis is good for SEO:

    1. It's particularly efficiently coded which a) speeds up page load time and b) enables the search engine spiders to understand what's on the site more easily

    2. There are extremely focused SEO controls built in, which have enabled me to drop all the SEO plugins I was using. (And dropping plugins is always good!).

To illustrate the range of SEO controls that are available:

The All-in-one-SEO pack plugin gives you the ability to define index/noindex, follow/nofollow, META titles, descriptions and keywords and title configurations on your home page and each post and page, as well as indicating the Canonical URL. You can also tell it to index/noindex your category, tag and archives pages.

Thesis does the same but, in addition to your home page, posts and pages, it gives you the same controls for your tag pages and your category pages, plus a field for an introductory paragraph describing what readers can expect to find in your category and tag pages.

As an example, this is my categories page for the Thesis Tips category on my site:

Thesis Theme Tips, Techniques and Tutorials | WealthyDragon

That enables you to set META titles, descriptions and keywords for your category and tags pages, as well as index/noindex them, and the ability to write an introductory piece gives you more search engine juice by providing an H1 and some relevant content ahead of the listing of your articles.

That, of course, does give you a lot more work - especially if you have lots of categories and tags!

But, if you're focused in the way you use your categories and tags, and put in the work, this does improve the visibility of those pages in the search engines.

What Thesis will not do is magically improve your SEO without you putting in the work, though. It just makes doing the work a lot easier, particularly for non coders.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Abledragon said it perfectly. The ability to add custom content above your category page bolsters your category page and makes it more useful to your visitors and search engines.

Martin, Thanks for explaining the thesis stuff more in detail. I only knew it was an SEO friendly theme. Paying huge affiliate could not be a reason, because you cannot fool the intelligent crowd out there in the wild internet.

    cheers

I am very sure you article've heard a lot about WordPress themes. You see most of thesis260x125 thumb I've read that article is one of the best WordPress theme premium. If I can deny the fact. A common reason that I do not deny it because I'm not a coder and thesis help thesis design facility only under the WordPress dashboard so to overcome this problem can.
