Wordpress issue with placing a link

Hey everyone,

I have a WP blog that I am trying to link my Facebook fan page to. I was trying to place a link in the widget so that the link would be active. Unfortunately, the link just shows up as text on the site with no link.

An example of what I am trying to do is HERE. His facebook link is right under the header where I want to put mine on my site.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? To me it seems like it would be real easy, but I am having trouble. I guess when it comes to website stuff I am not that good. Thanks in advance!

      Thank you so much! One quick question though. In the "target-"_blank"> part, is there anything specific I need to put in there?

    I looked at the site to see how you wanted your Facebook link to look AND then I went through his website because there was so much I wanted to read!
