ok guys I am new to all of this and trying to figure out how to get my theme to take and get this website up and running so I can start blogging on it and try to monetize it soon....

the site is texansfortexas.com


what do I need to do to get this to look like an actual website instead of all that on it?

    WOW, I would start all over. What instructions are you following? Do you have any videos? Do you have Cpanel or are you using FTP?

    I just re-installed it using my cpanel and it is still giving me the same thing on the site... what am I doing wrong?

      Are you installing it into a directory that does NOT exist yet? The sub-directory that you enter CANNOT exist because when it tries to create it, it's already there - maybe that's it???

    Installing WordPress via Fantastico

    I'm also on hostgator, & that video tutorial is perfect for installing WP.

    Install WP with Fantastico inside your cpanel.

    Best thing to do is go to you toturial video wordpress.
    get from you tube.
    search on google, some case it happen and been solve
    good luck
    If you using file Ftp go back there and check all running smooth , if yes
    you must be check the theme that yu use must be big try other one the simple
    To be save Back up your file on to your destop. start alover is more easy,

    and Thrift it is getting installed in the main directory no subs right now

      You might try a chat session with Hostagator tech support, they are very helpful.

      I had a problem once (my own fault) & they had me up & running very fast, maybe 10-15 min.

    Thank you Yukon we found out the script in the htaccess file was screwed up but we now have it fixed thank you all!!!!
