How To Fix Sitemap in Google Webmaster Tools

Hi Warriors,

My sitemap in google has a red cross. What i want to know is when i added my site to google do i need to ommit the www as i think this is whats causing the problem as all my pages that are being shown in google tools have no www and google is pointing to this i think.

Please advise. Thanks

You can add the non www version of your site to GWT as well.

  If the links within you're site map have NO www, then the domain you submit them under must also have NO www. You can then add the WWW version and you should be good to go.

Hey, firstly, check the report and find out what is wrong. If it is really the 'www' problem, make sure you have the address with the www s in wordpress settings. (assuming you are using wordpress - if not ignore me )

Click on the sitemap (e.g. sitemap.xml) next to the red cross to see the actual error. Like shown here about google webmaster tool errors
