Give me a midstream critique, if ya' would

Hey folks,
I'm part way through my first ClickBank product site and am going for a slightly different look. But before I go too far off the wrong cliff, I thought I would toss it up for discussion, if anyone is game.

Please note that I am not done, so, you will see there are no Buy Or Die buttons, PS, PPSSs, PPPSSSs, PSPSSSSs, please buy 'cuz the price is going up tomorrow just you wait, etc.

Also, the sales video only contains the opening thus far, and I will be placing it on AMZ S3 via S3EZ so it will have a proper player and auto play. NOT YouTube as you will currently see.

I guess my primary questions are concerning the copy and layout of the "letter" portion of the page and the different look I have below with, what I call "Bene Boards," as in, Benefit Boards. I was midway through making a list with the usual check mark graphics and decided to go a different direction. I like it, but, hell, who am I?

Any input would be appreciated. Oh, yeah, one more thing, I'm battling through this with NVU, so I still need a little work on margins, etc.

Thanks for any and all input.
Greg

doesn't seem very professional looking. try a different font and a cleaner 'web 2.0' layout.

the claims you make are too hard to believe. "turn any website into a 'cash printing monster'. 'have people begging to send you money'...

You can't be serious? Who is supposed to believe you with that kind of ludicrous over the top wording?

It is a train wreck to be completely honest. Your logo's background doesn't match the blue background that is on the rest of the page. The blue background looks terrible. Your fonts look like startrek/starwars fonts. Also, you have no padding for your text to your white content background. Your site seems to be targeting people who own websites so they obviously have some sense/knowledge of design. This will be a complete turnoff. I wouldn't trust a site that looked like this with a penny. This is just my completely honest critique. I am trying to save you money by telling you not to launch the site like that for the sake of your sales.

I am a designer and have been designing for a few years. If you would like, you could shoot me a private message and I would do some cheap freelance work for you. I could have you site redesigned tomorrow and for under $100. My design will will make you at least 4 times more than your current design would.

Greg, to be honest, you want your site to looks as professional as your video, and in my honest but respectful opinion, your sales page and graphics are not even close to matching the quality of your video.......

I want to thank you guys for your input. I am not offended, appreciative actually. I was working with this site a couple of nights ago and became a bit burned out, frustrated, etc. I used to work a lot with print design, magazine work to be a bit more precise and am more accustomed to that environment, as well as, InDesign. I have been fighting with NVU. (Not blaming the software, folks) So, I may bite the bullet and start working with DreamWeaver. I have it with my CS3 bundle, but just didn't have it in me to learn my 80th new software this year. I just got a handle on AfterEffects for screaming out loud.

So anyhow, I just started screwing around. Couldn't get Impact to not be bold, etc., so I just started experimenting with the square banners, etc.

I wanted a different look, but I think I sacrificed everything else.

    I'm also bored with WP.
Anyhow, I am going to repost when I make some revisions.

And, I'm not ignoring the offers. I need to fix some of this myself, BUT, I have a ton of projects for 2011, and they will not all be done if I don't start assembling a team of outsourced talent. So let's stay in touch.

After Effects is a great program, and if you did your video, you did great!

If not it's still a nice video.

Dreamweaver helps alot with CSS, and honestly I did not want to learn Dreamweaver myself, but once you get it down and you know how to hand code also, things can be done much faster......

If you made that video, you did a great job! You have more than a handle on AE. Also, it's fine if you don't want to take me up on my offer. I get the importance some people feel to learn it by themselves. I would really recommend not using any programs like DreamWeaver or NVU. I find that they limit you heavily.

If I were you, I would just head over to w3schools.com and just get going. Read how to do different things in html/css, and make a sample page using them. That is the best way to learn. I would outsource your graphics though, because designing graphics isn't something that you can get a handle on overnight, much less a week.

Design is one of the most important things on your site... I know everyone preaches content, but if your site isn't well laid out/designed, no one will hang around to read the content, and with your current design you won't have many readers let alone buyers.
