Help wanted. Seeking tough website reviewers

Greetings Warriors,

I'd like to get your thoughts on a new review site that I'm building. I'm talking about tough love here. I have NO experience with building review sites and I'm really stepping outside my comfort zone here.

I've made it my goal to produce a review site that reliably brings in $1,000 a month while providing massive value for visitors. I realize that this number might seem painfully small to some here... but this would be life changing for me. This goal is not a limit... just a bench mark.

I know I have a long way to go, but I would appreciate any your thoughts and suggestions. http://thetopgundatingtips.weebly.com (My developing review site)

I have sold some clickbank products and some stuff for Eben Pagan but not as many as I had hoped by this point. Right now most of the links in the site point to other pages within the site or to the affiliate sales pages.

I think it's a cool site - video is good.

If you can afford the hosting and domain I think you should definitely get your own.

I'm also in the process of making my first review site at the moment, link in my sig if you want something to get idea's from or whatever.

    Good luck dude

Thanks for the tips! I'll look into hosting and domain. I was thinking of testing the concept using weebly.com because for the time being its affordable... but I have thought about building a Kajabi version later own.

Like the above post, I agree you should purchase your own hosting and domain... (I recommend using GoDaddy.com for domains and HostMonster.com for hosting.) These two things are necessary if you are looking to go big with your site. It will help your SEO and it will be more trusted by your users. Not to offend whoever is in the video (I assume it is you), but I would also advise you to type up a script and hire someone to record it on Fiverr.com. I would also pay an attractive woman over a man, because sex appeal is a huge part of having your website succeed. That is assuming your site is targeting men. If you are targeting women, hire a male to record. Good luck!

I'll look into have to look into hosting and a domain. Thanks for the tips.

I agree with you on the video... I think I shot that at 4AM. I'm looking to scrap it and re-shoot a scripted one.

I had thought about getting an attractive woman to shoot some videos and I'm working on doing some interviews with a couple of the "gurus" that I know.

Awesome! You have the right idea then... I would really consider fiverr.com though. You would be surprised how many good looking girls are looking to make even a few bucks. Did I mention you could get a professional video at fiverr for $5? That is an incredible deal.

Yeah definitely get some hosting and a domain. I would stick with a .com, .org, .net site also for your domain I think its rather long.

Try to use google keyword tool and put in 'dating' see what comes up try to find a keyword with over 3000 searches and under 12000. Global monthly broad search. Then try to see can get one of those keywords and try to get the domain.

You want to be able to rank easier.

Also your site navigation is all over the place. I would do more of a sidebar type site.... I don't know if weebly has that. It seems weebly sucks. I would switch to wordpress this is almost the internet design standard.

It's one of the best weebly sites I've ever seen.

That being said, get off weebly.

As a consumer, why would I trust someone who cannot afford their own website?

Whether that is the situation or not, thats what many consumers will think.

Hey Headfirst thanks for the tip. I've been a little worried about the credibility factor myself... and I see your point.

I originally built this site as a test to get proof of concept before investing a lot of money in a website that may or may not work. I took a major financial hit recently and I'm currently fighting a nasty child custody case.

I've thought about using the kajabi platform because it looks easy to use but that is a rather hefty financial investment.

I'd also like to do some outsourcing for some of the written content and the email news letter, but for now the money just isn't there. I'm currently looking for a second job to help fund my online exploits.

      Thanks again!

I noticed one typographical error on your front page:
If you do not respect women or are not of legal are to view adult material please leave now.
I think you meant to write "legal age".
