Is there a flash wysiwyg editor?

I know that Sothink has a decompiler and swf editor which are fine. But as time has gone on we've gone from Front Page and Dreamweaver to CS5, Photoshop and Flash 10 - and for web design and css it's great.
I like the design mode best, it lets me focus on the design and not the code. I've always been a designer/artist first...coder/scripter out of necessity due to limitations in the software I've used.

But I have wondered if the time has come for a wysiwyg flash editor in the same way we have html wysiwyg editors. I've heard of Flypaper, but I don't know if it's abilities extend to editing fla files as well as using the resources to create flash media.

The best Banner Maker Pro for flash, takes the excellent visual interface of Banner Maker Pro and extends it to a flash environment. Both are great programs for creating banners, ads and any number of things for a site if you just use your imagination. I highly recommend them both!

What I want to know is, does anyone know of a flash editor that is as easy as a click and edit style of visual editing on other design formats?

I'd really like to know...since I'm interested in creating some flash for some sites that I really want to look great...but I'm not so good at flash.

Thanks

    Hi,

Have you tried Adobe Flash Catalyst CS5? It allows you to import PSD or AI files into it and work with the interface visually while it writes the coding and structure in the background. Might want to give it a try.

I work with Flash and when done tastefully, it can be a great addition to a website. If you want to build more dynamic and interactive websites using Flash then I'd advise you to actually learn it.

Flash by nature of its program IS a WYSIWYG type of editor. You build, tween, and compose on the stage itself. For many people that would be enough, however I personally took the time to learn ActionScript 3.0. It gives you more control over your tweens and animations. I highly recommend making time for it.

You don't have to become an expert with AS 3.0, just enough to be dangerous or learn only as much as you have to for each project. You'll wind up accumulating valuable knowledge. This way you won't have to depend on any 3rd party programs for your vision.

Adobe Flash (multimedia designer, interactive multimedia | Adobe Flash Professional CS5) is probably your best bet for a Flash wysiwyg.

Providing your design isn't too complex, or you don't mind a tutorial or two, Adobe Flash would be your best choice to pick up.

Yes Adobe Flash is a WYSIWYG editor. It's how you build Flash elements and it's what you need to really work with Flash. You might look into academic pricing, all you need if you don't qualify is the help of someone who is either a student or teacher or in some cases otherwise associated with the schools. I have several programs that I have bought that way including Adobe Production Studio that I got for $300. It comes with Photoshop, Illustrator, Encore, Premier, Audition, After Effects, Image Ready and a couple of others. Just look at Adobe's website to see what the different bundles include. I bought mine through "Academic Superstore" you can Google them. Also I'm pretty sure the licensing is for three computers so you can put it on your desktop and your laptop and one other machine.

BTW there are many Flash tutorial sites out there. They are a really good way to start learning Flash. Also When you start working with ActionScript there is a reference table inside Flash that list all the commands and their usage. Flash can be very, very powerful but it should be used sparingly because search engines can't see inside of a Flash element so they can't rank your page from content in your Flash videos, NOT good for SEO.

You might look at Trendy Site Builder. I just discovered it being offered on HostGator, did start doing some research on it, seems like it could be useful in building a Flash Heavy site.
