Post Site Design Feedback

I have a domain that I've had for awhile and I'm wanting to develop around this theme. I need some serious feedback and suggestions in a hurry before I throw much time and effort into this. The site is at www.inetgoldrush.com.

There doesn't seem to be much traffic in this thread so I'd also like to know if this can be posted in the main Warrior forum?

Thanks in advance.
Rick

Hi,

Smart design. Couple of comments. General appearance overall a bit dark, bit foggy. The heading is weak.

Good luck with it.

I really do think you could do better with the header - change the font or use and image header instead.

Overall, I like the concept, but you could also do with less contrast, let the text stand out more..
My 2cents.

Good luck

Being totally honest here -- I would go for a more pleasing color scheme and perhaps try to build the website using CSS/XHTML for a really clean, Web 2.0 look and feel. The site feels a bit pre-2000. Just trying to be constructive!

Thanks everyone. It's back to the drawing board! I agree with you all. As far as the CSS/XHTML I've tried to implement CSS but the initial problem is that the original artwork I did was ran through Image Ready which sliced and diced then spit it out into a table. I'll have to re-think my workflow on this project. I kinda knew that the color theme was dreary and the site wreaked of the '90's. I was after an Old West style but the colors probably should have been sepia instead of that awful yellowish color.

I am working alone and came from the '90's HTML web development world self taught. I'm having to learn a lot of new development languages to try and stay afloat with new development practices. There's just so many to choose from. If you know anyone willing to collaborate with me on this project, ask them to buzz me up.

I think your design kill the content
Sorry, it's ok if you want to keep it.
But i think it's better if you just install wordpress and download some free ass kicking template. Then, just focus on content.

dont like the colors. too dark. Especially internet goldmine should be bright, vibrant, clear.
Even white or blue would do.

This site has been bugging me for a long time. I was just working on a new header img. and using strictly CSS. What do you think of this for a header?

Agree with this post, the selection of colors is not bad but it could be executed much better and your site could use a better selection of fonts.

Ask yourself, how would you feel if it was another guy's website and you just went to this website after make a search on google, what would you think?
Credibility, your service can be the best around the world, but it depends of how you present it.. see your website like when you are grumpy and trying to sell a car. Being total honest here, if you need help with css or something, let me know ok?

I'll have to agree with other posters, The design is lacking and the colors aren't really appealing at all.
