wordpress newbie question

How do I change the Meta description of my site? I have a plugin that allows me to do it easily on all my post or other pages, but I can't figure it out for the home page. I have researched it already but did not understand the solutions listed. It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult. I am very new to all this, so please excuse me if this is an ignorant question. Thanks again for any help.

    I use the plugin ALL in One SEO. It makes it pretty easy to configure meta tags and page titles on the settings page.

    It's under Settings > All in One SEO

    You'll see the options there.

      The plug in I have is "WordPress seo " it is very easy to change any description, except the home page. Should I change to a different plugin or am I missing something obvious? Thanks.

      Kyle nailed it. The All in One SEO plugin is an easily solution that easily allows you to change your home page keywords at any time.

    I use Yoast Wordpress SEO for all my sites nice plugin but it is a bit more advanced than others

    To change META description

    1. Click on the SEO plugin
    2. Click tittles
    3. Enter your meta Description under Homepage: Meta Description template
