Which WordPress Theme Is Best

Some time ago I recall someone talking about paid themes vs free themes for WP and while I have only used free themes to date I am wondering if I should consider paid themes, & which one might be best.


Here's a look @ a site I had built with a free theme St Lucia Photo Safaris

& here's the template of a new site I plan to build Final

While the landing page here has a lot of different elements I plan to keep the center column of the other pages quite simple.

So my big question is Why would I want to use a paid theme instead of a free one & like I asked before, Which one might be best for me?

    If you can customize a theme you would have no trouble at all building your own, and they are free 2

      I think it is safest to go with the built-in TwentyTen and edit it to make it your own. That way you are guaranteed that you are fully supported into the future, and that you can use the automatic upgrade function.

    It depends on your level of skills regarding CSS and PHP
    If your experienced then you can tweek any free theme
    If not, premium WP themes offer lifetime free upgrades and excellent support
    The premium theme i use is excellent for easy customisation and the support forum is world class so even beginners can fully customise thier own themes

    Premium themes also come with many design options that are extremely easy to use
