Hey guys i have a website template in place, i also have my sales copy in a word doc.

Is it possible to simply design the look of the copy in word then paste into Dreamweaver??

Im not the most technical of people when it comes to website design but since i need this completed rather fast i have decided i will do this myself.

Thanks

      I personally wouldn't.
Copying from Word copies all the weird Word formatting too, and since Dreamweaver is already a WYSIWYG editor, you should probably try and do the formatting in Dreamweaver.

I agree with Ryan. Design it in Dreamweaver.

I have tried what you are suggesting many times with clients. They provide me with what they would like in WORD and then I have to translate it to good code through Dreamweaver.

There is nothing wrong with doing a mockup in WORD if that is easier for you, but you should start from scratch in Dreamweaver. The extra code that WORD adds to the page just slows down your page and reduces any chance of good SEO.

If you do a mockup in WORD, you can copy the text part of it by adding a quick extra step.
        1. Copy WORD text
        2. Open NOTEPAD and paste text.
        3. Copy text from NOTEPAD and paste into Dreamweaver.

You'll have to do the formatting in Dreamweaver, but you'll have the text.

Hope that helps. Give Dreamweaver a try. It's pretty useful once you get the hang of it

I agree with Dialady and Ryan, but sometimes dw too put a lot of weired things in the HTML code. I always review it, but you need to' understand some HTML and CSS code

Agree with the above - you'll need to start from scratch in Dreamweaver for the best results.
