    You mean, "Why is Wordpress the best CMS for those who can't code, wants their website to look like all the other 4,569,677 wordpress sites out there, don't want/can't afford to hire a professional, and just plain ignorant to any better solution out there".

      I don't agree. Sure, most people use themes that look like a regular blog but you can modify Wordpress themes to look nothing like the standard.

      1. Search Engine Friendly
      2. Easy to Maintain
      3. Enormous amount of Plugins

      For your average Internet user Wordpress is miles ahead. Easily the best.

          1. Wide availability of commercial support and help (I mean from themes to specialized hosting)
          2. Relative ease of use (compared to other CMSes)
          3. Wide availability of plugins

          Though the wide spread of the application also makes security vulnerabilities much more dangerous. The same as with Windows.

          Many people use it, many security holes are discovered and exploited.
