I'm on a new niche now and have bought a domain.

I have quite a few plugins installed from the other blog and rather than reinstall them again what is the easiest way to transfer them all over to my new blog?

I'll be using the same host as my other blog if that makes a diff.

There are applications that will streamline a complete install with a preset group of plugins, but they are typically used for installing multiple blogs, and taking the time to set one up defeats the purpose if you only use it once.

You can just ftp all the files down from your plugin folder and upload. You'll still need to install each one though, so they can hook into wp files and db as needed.

Do I still have to reinstall them if I don't require the content from the last blog?

I can't see why just now since the initial 'install' of each plugin was only a matter of copy and pasting the files from my comp onto the server anyhow. Maybe activate them all but that is no biggy.

Right I meant activate after upload, and you'll need to configure any settings.

    You can try this..

    1) Transfer the blog as if you are transferring it to a new domain name.

    2) Change the theme, or if you want to use the same theme, then you dont need to change this.

    3) Change the content.

This way all the settings will also be copied and you dont have to go ahead and configure them all again.

    Hope this helps..

Yeah, but first he needs to make a database copy therefore he won't lose all his data.
