My website offers searchable listings to find heath care providers. My listings include the city and state of providers...which will and have been crawled. Is there a way that I can TAG these listings in groups by city and state that will better the search results for Google? My Listings are high if you search the name of the listing directly, but I would like to rank higher with terms like "Doctors in Toledo Ohio". If it sound like I don't know what I'm talking about it's because I don't. Hoping someone out there will be able to help me understand how to accomplish this....Thank you in advance for any and all help!

You might consider links BACK to your landing pages using those keywords. You can also create pages specifically for the keywords plus the location. See a good example at Home Improvement | Remodeling | Yorktown, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton, Norfolk, Newport News (scroll to the bottom of the homepage).

    Hope that helps a bit

I'm pretty big on SEO. If you give a link to your site I will give it a quick look over.
If each section has it's own page, then you should start with the title, then the meta description, then the keywords on each page, and as the previous post says, keyphrases linking to the correct landing page.

        What's the site?

Is there a way of doing this that will not be visible at the bottom of the page? Your page looks great I'm just afraid because I have hundreds of cities .......I think that this would look cumbersome on my site. Thanks again!

Need to see your site first before i can comment
Make sure you have the correct categories and category tags using the main keyword as a tag
You could also list links to your pages/posts in your sidebar using different anchor text than the titles as long as it means the same thing and is relecant to the content
