    2. It must be vectorised, meaning it contains NO gradients or shadowing or other special effects that can only be shown in a digital image. Overlapping of colours is allowed.
    ...
The winner will recieve the following:
    • $100 Cash (prefer to pay via PayPal but other options available)
    • A link to his/her website from the Snazzy Stickers website
    • A link to his/her website from the first Snazzy Stickers Press Release (online and offline

    1. Gradients and shading are perfectly acceptable in vector art, and aren't "special effects that can only be shown in a digital image". If you have a RIP for your sticker printer that can't rasterize gradients, that's a different story.

    2. This is 'exclusive to the WF'. Does that mean if there's only one entry and it sucks, they still get the $100? 'Cuz I don't see any weasel room on your end.

    3. Are you escrowing the prize money to ensure that whoever 'wins' gets paid? Or is this just kind of an honor system thing?

    4. Why are you posting a logo design contest in an internet marketers forum? Why not a design forum?

    5. I can only conclude that you're not very much concerned with professionalism for a graphic that's going to represent a company to the public, since you've given no information about the company's market demographic, what you want its overall image to be, etc.

    6. You've given a list of colors - are you also going to want versions (for free, I'm guessing) for single-color, reversed, with/without tag line, etc.?

    7. Maybe you know the pitfalls of having a 'contest' for logo design, maybe you don't. What happens if the design you choose infringes on a trademark or copyright? Do you really want to open yourself up to that kind of liability? Maybe you ought to read this: The reality of logo design contests | Logo Design Love

      Hi Steve,

I would answer all your questions but:

      1. This competition has since moved to a designer specific forum due to lack of intrest. I knew this might be the case but always like to start at home on the WF.

      2. I'm fully aware of the pitfulls of outsourcing a company logo to a competition of designers but even if I picked a winner, it dosn't mean I would use the logo for my business...
