Slow Image Display Issue

I am using Wordpress Awake theme on my photo gallery website. After I have uploaded the pics at their required size (about 900 x 516 pix = 48kb) more or less....When clicking on the pics from the gallery thumbnail, they are supposed to displauy in their full size, but instead they loop and loop and never display on their full size.....Very frustrating because this worked two weeks ago and it does not anymore!!! I have increased traffic on the site but not much ..The way this gallery is supposed to work is that images are uploaded as "posts", then image posted (uploaded) appears on the gallery as a thumbnail and then when clicking on the thumbnail you should see the full size image , but as I mentioned above it just loops and never displays.... Interestingly though, from the "Admin" "Post" dashboard, when I click on the "view post" , the full size (post) displays!!

Then there seems to be something wrong with the Awake wordpress program itself and this might be the reason of the first issue ? ....From my dashboard, when I upload a picture directly from computer. There is a "show" button in the "add image" dashboard. A few weeks ago, this "show" button worked. It would display the url of the image. Of course, I have a work around this, but makes it all even more tedious. So I have a hunch that my problem with the images displaying has something to do with the problems in the word press dashboard operating issues. Please help! I do not even know how to start fixing this problem.
