WordPress Question...

I'm using FlexSqueeze Version 1.4.0

I've created Posts for an Endorsement Policy, Privacy Policy, About Us and Contact Us; the links are under Recent Posts in my Right Sidebar. I want the links to be in my footer ONLY and NOT within Recent Posts in my Right Sidebar.

Are Posts ok?

Is there a way do this so that Google and other search engines still see that I have these documents on my site?

FYI, I do know how to add outbound links in my Footer, so I believe I am comfortable with that. Am I correct in believing it doesn't matter if the links are outbound or inbound (on my own site)?

I believe my main concern here is getting the links to show in the footer only and not in the sidebar, while making sure that Google is still properly satisfied.

Thanks,
Zak

    Hi Zak,

You may want to create pages, rather than posts for those - especially the About page. The links will then appear in your menu/nav bar. You could nest all those pages under your About page if you're pushed for space on your nav bar.

And yes - adding them to your footer, while not essential, all helps.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

I can't remember where I've read it, but having those posts you are asking about, ARE better in your footer and not up in your Nav/Menu bar.

It had something to do with: you would rather have Google see your content first, ahead of that information.

I wish I had more info on that but it might be enough for you, to look into it further or for others who do know, to comment on, and I/others could learn from it also.

    Hope that helps some,

    Joe

    Zak,
I am currently using WP Policy plug in. What this does is that it helps you manage pages. Essentially it allows creates a page for you for your privacy policy or disclosure policy BUT It does not Show on your Main Page Menu and it shows on the bottom of each page.

It works pretty well; I think this might be what you're looking for. It's also a free plug in you can find on the wordpres splug in database.

    It has 5/5 stars.

      Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply....although, I don't want them in my navigation bar, I want them to show in my footer ONLY and no where else....NOT in the sidebar or header.

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks,
      Zak

      Hi humbledmarket,

Thanks for your reply....does the WP Policy plug in put the policy page link at the bottom of each page or in the footer?

      Thanks,
      Zak
