Hello,

Does it make good IM sense to have 2 websites (same sales product) with different url's and same/different web design??

Or should I build 1 good solid website?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Paul

    This is called "Split Testing"
As soon as you find out which one converts better, focus your efforts on that one

    Hi
It does make sense, you can do split testing.
See witch one is converting better and then use it for something else.

I've got 10 websites in total right now. 5 of our websites sell the same product, unique designs and all convert anywhere between 1% - 4%. So it's not a bad idea to do that. Works for us and some of the domains are EMDs.

Test it and see how it goes, if you want to build a brand name for example "dynager" you should take all domains: .com/.net/.org/.info - etc..

You can split test on the same domain - you just need to put each website into different folders, then redirect to the index files of each website respectively.

Also you can split test more than one thing at a time if you got the right toolset to do it.

Split testing could be quite useful for you to judge which site can help you to bring good result with more conversions. You need to have a constructive internet marketing planning. So let's work for them and you'll soon get the result.

Split testing is useful when you are using different names on both websites, It may confuse your visitors if you use same brand name on both the sites. We can make different websites for the marketing of different items. What will you if you get equal response from both the sites?

if i will find the same product on two different websites i will be very skeptical about the product.

IMO try to sell it only on a single website.
