Ok so I bought a domain name about a year ago when I first started out and was making a squeeze page out of it well then i did the auto install wordpress blog thing they offer through Hostgator. So what I'm trying to do now is to get a wordpress username and password connected with the site so when I comment on other peoples blogs I can just log in to my wordpress username connected to my site. Sorry if this is a little confusing wasn't quite sure how to explain this.

I think what you are asking is to have a link back to your site with comments. You just have to add your URL in the spot that asks for the URL. Maybe I am misunderstanding your question. But, your WP username & password should be in your hosting account if you forgot....

It sounds like you are trying to log in to a site as a member, and you have not joined the site. Many sites have the default sidebar information still on the site, which includes a login area for use by registered members. That is not how to leave a comment, unless you have stumbled upon one of the rare sites that actually allows comments only by registered members. Most sites are not like that. At the beginning or end of a post, look for the words comment or leave a comment, which will be a clickable link. Put your name or keyword + name in the name field, and in the URL field put your URL to which you want a link.

Assume that both you and your neighbour have "XYZ" car. Can you use your XYZ car's keys to unlock and start your neighbour's XYZ car.

This just doesn't make sense. Sorry.

Your own WP blog's username/password combo is useless (read: no good!) on my WP blog. Or on any other WP blog, for that matter.

Ok I guess I got the wrong idea as far as when you go to someones website and try to comment and it says to choose a profile and wordpress is an option. I guess that was all just confusing sorry for the mistake.
