Text Highlight Question Using Komposer

I'm hoping you can help me on a simple question using Komposer. I am having trouble adding a yellow background for text. Never had that problem using other programs. There are 2 separate choices for highlighting using Komposer. One is for the background color and the other is the background for text. I want to use the bg for text. However, when I do, the whole line from left to right is highlighted in yellow. Same with the other option.

How do I highlight only the area directly behind the text using Komposer?

      I think Komposer is ****** up. I just made it work where I got yellow highlight behind the text.... and now can't do it. My next thing is to check the source and see what's going on there. Maybe there's code there that is messing up.

      I bet that is it.

        I did find a trick that worked though. I typed what I wanted with a period(.) and the end of it, then highlighted the words I wanted background colored highlighted in yellow all the way up to the period, but not including it. It highlighted only the area behind the text up to the period and didn't extend across the whole line.

        Still not what I wanted, but no one will know the difference. Seems like this is a bug with Komposer in my opinion... until someone can prove me wrong.
