I am Designing A Wordpress Member Site

I am a newbie. I am using Wordpres for a membership site. I want to know how to structure my site.

This is what I want. I want a page that comes up for nonmembers of my site that explains my site and what it is about and tells how to join my site and what the requirements are. Then the other side of my site is the membership part of my site.

Within the membership side of the site, I want many combinations of the site based on how the member became a member. Example: A section on list building for the person who became a member for the list building and he cannot go to another section for example on Internet Marketing Techniques unless he joins for that section. Members can join the different sections separately becoming multiple section members but only after meeting the qualifications in order to do so.

Then I need a part of the site for the Affiliate Marketer members to choose what the regular members can see based on how they became a member to the the site. I hope this makes sense.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I am stuck in my site building. I have a site still under construction. Thank you in advance for your help.

Unless you specify the "qualifications" nobody can tell you what kind of code, plugin, script, whatever you need...

In answer to you question. If client bought a list building product then they can join the membership part of List building. If the member bought the Internet Marketing Product Then they can join the membership part for Internet Marketing. The affiliate will decide what part of the membership part is offered to the member. I hope that answers your question.

      Thanks!

hey YoderIII, I built an open-source membership website builder. It may not be exactly what you want but with some programming tweaks it may do it.

It's called kZoink!, a community membership site (you can check my sig below)... It's main intention is to allow other affiliates (registration required) to write content (i.e. articles, reports, blogs, etc.) for the community, thus promoting their own interest such as marketing their own products and services. You control what category they are allowed to access and write for. It also has "free classifieds listing", and again, in order to post on the classifieds they have to be a member of your community site... this does two things... build your leads (members email addresses) and build your traffic.

Let me know if you're interested and I can help you set it up.

Doing the hosting gives one the free use of the template. Can the hosting have subdomains for multiple sites? And will the template be used for each site? If someone is with the hosting company for a long time will they own the template at some time? Also will the basic site just be set up or will it be designed specifically for my requirements? Can one webiste be set up and a special backup done to rebuild on another site to cut down on setup time?

Then If I buy the templates. Will the hosting still design my site to my requirements and will they do this for multiple sites? Or just one. Can one webiste be set up and a special backup done to rebuild on another site to cut down on setup time?

      Thanks!

What about WordPress and using plugins: 1. Registered users only 2 and 2. Registered Plus Redux?

Could I do this with Wordpress and the above mentioned plugins or others like this?

    Thanks!

The thing you are trying to do, can easily be done with wordpress and a membersite plugin. Keep in mind: most of this plugins are expensive!

My personal favorite for small to medium membership sites is Amember

Sounds like you have a great plan. For many that is the hardest part . .knowing where to begin!

I've been using a terrific wordpress plugin from Wishlistmember.com. It is pretty simple to setup and works like a charm for a variety of membership levels. I learned all I know from Lance and Robert at their Membership Cube online training - here's the link:

Membership Cube: Setup a Membership Site Using One of Our Six Proven Business Models

You get a free copy of Wish List Member with the training and fabulous videos on the how to's. I've successfully setup a number of membership sites just like you're describing after using Lance and Robert's Membership Cube training.

Hope that helps! Let us know what you end up doing
