Why does my site include • characters when viewed in a meta analyser

by cctvinstallers 5 replies
When I view the source code it doesn't show, but shows 76 times when run through hypergurl meta analyser?

Do I need to change something as it may affect seo ?

Maybe because not using standard HTML code?

At the bottom, with your tags you have exactly 76 mid dots

Seems that this is their parser's problem.

However, you really have a lot of problems with HTML compatibility. You should correct errors. Go ahead and try to fix errors: link: validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fcctvinstallation.org%2F&cha rset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=HTML+4.01+ Strict&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.2

    Compatible with what?

Sorry, the validator never says anything about "compatibility". It just shows you whether your HTML markup is valid or not, i.e. was it written conform the specifications of the w3.org or not.

FYI: in this forum there are no fans of the valid html code Sales page can convert very well even if they have HTML errors.

P.S. I already told the OP what the issue is. Did you add anything useful to that diagnosis?

You might wanna look at your "charset" in your HTML coding typically found at the top or in the header. Check out this link from W3C web coding standards it might help.

      w3 dot org/TR/html4/charset.html#doc-char-set

replace the word dot I cannot post a link still to new. lol

Thanks mate, it turned out to be the dots in between the tags on a plugin called tagpages.
