My Problem Is Intergrating Butterfly Marketing With Aweber

When Someones Sign Up They Should Get An Email From The Butterfly Marketing Scripts Saying You Signed Up, Which I got, But it is not allowing to sign up through Aweber, So I have no clue why I am getting these error messages:

Error Message:

When I use my Sign Up Page, I have Aweber Errors!

Email Address Is Not Valid

The address you entered is not in a valid format.
Please correct any mistakes in the address and try to subscribe again. If you see this message
again, please use a different email address to subscribe.

I have tried several variables but none work!

Here is my settings in the admin control panel
On Email Sign Up Settings

Enable subscription to 3rd Party Auto Responders for new members

This Box is checked!

Field: First Name And Value is name
Field: Email And Value is email

meta_forward_vars 0
meta_web_form_id 1111111
meta_message 1
meta_web_form_id 1111111
Unit is my list name in Aweber

there are more fields,

Every time I type some more fields:

It creates
Field Name: email Field Value: from

Like 4 More times, everytime I hit refresh

and so on, I have used various email to sign up, but no luck
any advice...

The url is:

http://www.officialinternetmarketingexpert.com/createyourowngiveawayevent/signup.php

It signs Me UP On The Site Wizard, But Fails To Sign Me Up To The Aweber List!

So if anyone is experienced with Butterfly Marketing Script and know how to use the Adminstration Control Panel and is familar with Aweber and can intergrate the two..

Please give me some advice with this, I would appreciate that!

Thanks,
Ray Gollis

    Hi Ray,

Is there somewhere within the Butterfly script that you need to put your Aweber code? I'm not knowledgeable on the Butterfly script but when I have used something similar in the past, I've needed to cut and paste a portion of my Aweber code into the (Butterfly) system once I have set up my webform to integrate them.

Could it be something as simple as this?

Yes, Michelle, First You Go Into Aweber

      Create Form

Then You Get The Html Form of The Code,

Then You Go Into Butterfly Marketing Admin Control Panel

And Fill In The Variables In Sign Up Setting...

This is a from you take the Html Code and Fill Out The Variables!

      Like I explained earliers

Unit.......whatever the name of the list is
      meta_forward_vars......11111
      meta_web_form_id.....111111
      meta_web_form_id......111111
      unit.....111111

after saving it, when you sign up, it should sign up to the Site Wizard
And Aweber...As of now, Just Site Wizard and Error In Aweber

Here's what you need to do:
Login to Aweber and copy your form
Login to your admin (in BMS) and edit the "Signup Settings"

        meta_required: name,email
meta_adtracking: the name of the web form from Aweber
redirect: where to redirect after subscription
unit: the name of your list in Aweber
meta_web_form_id: the ID of the web form from Aweber
listname: again, the name of your list in Aweber.

        Hope this helps,
        Cheers,

        Remi

I finally did, hip hip horray!!! I left meta_required blank and but the aweber form said there was name, email, but kept on giving me this not valid format issue..

Same issue I had installing it... but the permission was this...
If anyone has the same problem as me...

            Here they are...

The problem was that bfm folder had 777 permissions.
I set them to 755 and is working.
When i do a BFM install i make:
            base folder 755,
            templates folder 777,
            config folder 755,
            config/constants.php file 666,
            _tmp folder 777.

Scripts are weird that is all I have to say!!!

The thing is, if you're using Hostgator, they don't allow 777 permissions only 755 so every time the tutorials on the BMS tell you to set permissions to 777 you should instead set them to 755. And as a matter of fact, you can do the same with any other script, file or folder as long as you're hosting is provided by Hostgator.

Glad to see you figured it out!

              Cheers,

I'm having this exact problem, but changing folder permissions doesn't do anything for me.

I've searched online and it looks like at least one other person has had this problem but I cannot find any solutions.

Does anyone have anything further to add? I've copied variables into my admin that match the Aweber code for the form I've created.

Not sure where else to go on this...
