Yep, I'm offering up free web hosting accounts for all you entrepreneur dudes.

In exchange, I want you to help me promote my college success blog on Twitter. This will be relatively painless. All you have to do is five minutes of setup and you're golden.

First, you need at least 500 followers on Twitter. This is a marketing idea I had, so I need reach to make it worth my while.

Once you have that 500 followers, follow my Twitter feeds, @thomasfrank09 and @CollegeInfoGeek. (you can follow them even if you don't - I tweet pretty baller stuff and I'll probably follow you back if you do too)

Now you'll do the setup. Instead of having to tweet or retweet everything, you'll just set up your Twitter account to pull from my RSS feed. This is easy:
  • Go to twitterfeed.com and create an account.
  • Create a new feed. Call it "College Info Geek" and paste in this feed: College Info Geek (click this and use the feed URL)
  • Before going to the next step, click "Advanced Settings" and look for the "Post Suffix" box. Type, "via @CollegeInfoGeek" (no quotes).
  • Go to the next step, select Twitter, and authenticate your Twitter account.
  • Click Done.

That's all there is to it. I post articles 4-5 times a week, so this won't increase your tweet frequency much at all. Reply to this thread or send me a PM once you've done all this that includes your Twitter username, and I'll get you started with your free web hosting once I see a mention from your account. You'll get 100MB of web storage and 2 gigs of bandwidth/month. That's more than enough for anyone starting out (you'd need around 20,000 pageviews on a photo-heavy site to hit that cap).

As long as you keep posting from my RSS feed, you'll have free hosting. If at any point you don't want to do this, you can get hosting for $25 a year.

If you need other help, like WordPress setup and the like, I can also help out - but that's not free.
