As the title asks, how do you add an adsense ad in wordpress? I don't want to use plugins anymore since I fear that they may be stealing some of my page views and replacing my ads with theirs. So can any give me a tutorial of how to code on wordpress to add some google ads on my site.

For example how to put it in the sidebars where the widgets should be. Or in a post or even just above the header.

I appreciate any help you guys will give me!

Your website is not resolving. Beside that, I usually add the Adsense code manually in the theme. If you use a reputable Wordpress Plugin that you found on the official website, their shouldn't be any problem regarding impression stealing.

Is "Easy Adsense" a reputable plugin?

If you have been turned down several times, there may be something in your application that is causing them to red-flag your application and turn you down.

Generally a blog at blogger.com that seems like it had some kind of credible contend gets approved quickly.

If they have already put you on a DON'T APPROVE list (if there is one) you might have to find out where Larry or Sergey go for their happy hour drinks (if they do happy hour) and go there and get on their friend list.

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

Like Aurele says if you use a reputable plugin like Quick Adsense you won't have any problems.

Don't be afraid of impression stealing. Just use a popular adsense plugin. You can also past the adsense code into a sidebar text widget.

For adsense, I prefer to use Who Sees Ads

It has quite a few settings that can be configured to display or not display ads based on criteria you select, and it also can suppress ads and display a placeholder to the admin when the logged in, eliminating the possibility of inadvertent clicks by the admin.

Settings can be fine tuned so that repeat users who might not be clickthrough prospects don't see adsense ads, helping your CTR,

As far as stealing clicks, anything that is hosted on the wordpress.org site can be considered safe, with so many users of that site anything shady would be outed pretty quickly.

I currently use the Eximus theme by WordPress vrs 3.1.2. I've tried every WP plug-in I could find but haven't had any success installing AdSense. The best shot I had worked and inserted ads just under the post title where I wanted them to go, but the ads extended into the 3rd column where some of my banner ads are located and looked crappy.

Most of the WP AdSense plug-ins I've tried provide messages stating that the plug in has not been tested with my current WP vrs, or something's wrong with the downloaded file and it cannot be opened up or installed. And good luck trying to contact the plug-in developer

Right now I'm budgeted for a free WP theme. Is there a better free one than Eximus for me to install? I'm an affiliate marketer and my blog focuses on product and service reviews. I'm about 180 degrees away from any WP technical expertise. Do I have to install some sort of code on my blog to make AdSense work? And if so, where and How would I install this?

Appreciate all the suggestions you could offer. And yep! I'm a newbie here working thru posts but I like what I see.
