create a post to a top menu category in wordpress

Hi,

I'm doing some research on how i can add a post to a top menu category in wordpress. There are allot of codes you can modify your theme to do so; however, it depends on your theme your using.

So lets say i have created a main "pages" top menu with the following:

home | icons | headers | logo

So when i create a new "post" not a page; I want the post to fall with in the category top menu "headers" page. When people click on the "headers" page they will find all "post" that was made in the category top menu "headers" only.
