This is a site built for adsense but adsense turned it down. I am helping this person with their site and have got some really good tips for him. I just want to make sure I have not missed anything because it's very basic.

First issue I see is that all your articles are showing on your front page rather that using a navigation system. You really don't want them all stacked on top of each other like articles. Make more of a homepage. Also, don't forget to add your terms & conditions along the bottom and disclaimer and a sitemap.

I think that would be a good start,

You are doing it all wrong. First, why is the site not on top domain? Second your site looks like one of those websites which never get developed properly. It lack enough content and the design is ugly. It seems like an abandoned project. Anyway, if you want to get approved by Google, you will have to add more content and make it more useful to visitors. Also, as said in the previous reply, you need to add about us, privacy policy, terms and conditions, etc., in the footer.

Yes it's definitely all wrong. Your website seems to only have one page with all the articles in it. You should try to make a new page for every article you have and make the links direct to those pages.Try putting them to the right side of your page to make it more easy to navigate and also getting an email autoresponder wouldn't be bad at all.

I agree with everyone, you need to get some sort of structure going in the site and if you can't move it to the top level maybe change it to memoryblog.selfimprovementbyjoe(dot)(com)
also you might want to put something on the top domain to get rid of the hostgator stuff

    Recommendations:

    1. Create a Home page with emphasis on your keyword i.e. self improvement (400-500 words)

    2. Create a second page on "memory" (400-500 words)

    3. Create a third page on "brain function" (400-500 words)

    4. Set up a Privacy policy

    5. Set up Contact details

    6. Sitemap

    Site structure is important.

If you do all of the above, I think you'd get your Adsense account promptly.

Move the site to your root directory and have pages targeting your main keywords and a blog to target other keywords, use pictures to make it visually appealing.

Alright, once again I see a bunch of people raping the site without giving any useful critique(which is what the poster asked for)

Here's the deal. The site does need some proper design and implementation. However, no one asked what the site is for...do you want to sell products, promote affiliate products, sell coaching??? these are things one must decide.

The main thing this site needs is proper architecture. If you are going to send people here it needs to look official, valuable and people need to be curious about you. If you are offering products or services then you will need to get opt-in's and build a subscriber list and start communicating with your viewers.

If you can take some time and decide the main goal of this site and you let me know, I can give you some markedly better feedback. So far I see content and that's good. You are going to need a lot of you want good ranking etc etc. Self-improvement is a competitiveness industry to say the least. You def need to have some purpose behind this site.

So I ask you, what is your intention with this site?
