Okay - take it from me - if you are serious about making money
online you need to know some basics. You might perhaps need
to change fonts, colors, backgrounds, etc that can only be done
manually (even after you have used some automated system or
hired a developer) and you definitely do NOT want to pay or wait
around for someone else to change/correct every little thing that
needs to happen on your websites. So do yourself a ginormous
priceless favor and learn these things.

The best all around book for questions like this (imo) is Elizabeth
Castro's "Html, xhtml and css." It doesn't cost much, is on Amazon
and it covers all the basics in a really nice organized way, with
screen shots to illustrate the code being talked about.

There isn't a lot of difference between html and xhtml, so it might
not be as involved as it sounds. When she covers a topic like links,
you get enough of the basics to make one, and more page numbers
for some of the more involved things you can do with links, like
    styling them with css.

She just has a nice attitude and a nice simple approach.
