how do they do it?

I found a website in the niche I want to go in. It isn't the prettiest or the best. It is heavily monitized with affiliate links for amazon and others.

I ran it through market samurai and basically it had very low levels of backlinks and according to the rules, probably shouldn't be found, but guess what..It comes up on the first page of google when you run the following keyword--Batman toys!

By all rights, it shouldn't. It is highly keyword stuffed in terms of SEO and runs on Blogger-yet week after week it is on page 1.

The backlinks may come from higher authority sites, but I looked at those and alot of them don't even relate to batman. So if you guys look at it, can you let me know what you think they are doing so I can get a blog about comic books ranking higher on Google. I would like to have people read it , rather than it being stuck in the limbo it is in now.
